Hiren's BootCD eliminates the need to keep on hand dozens and dozens of disks required in daily work. But, unfortunately, due to the fact that virtually all programs linked to Hiren's BootCD are paid and made by different manufacturers, the disc turns out to be above the law and its distribution and use is a violation of the laws of different countries by copyright and other not allow the freedom to distribute these programs.

Additional Information:

On the other hand, I have not heard of any more or less equivalent to a legitimate alternative to this CD. After all, if you count how much it costs like a disk, be officially releasing it, the cost probably would not exceed one hundred dollars, if not more. One can only wonder how many more new versions of this unique disc will appear on the network, while all company software developers gathered at the Hiren's BootCD agreement among themselves and be released, finally, the official CD, which can be a worthy alternative to legal Hiren's BootCD. It is not a role to play in the final cost of the disk for the consumer.

Differences Hiren `s BootCD Pro:

Used keyboard patch

Reshape the structure and menu, with a more convenient and Russian descriptions of programs.

From a DOS-shell removed the program, no interest, obsolete or duplicate other.

From under the WIN-shell removed outdated and of little programs, including antivirus MCafee (replaced by Dr.Web CureIt and AVZ).

Some programs are replaced by newer versions and Russified.

Also added a lot of other programs is useful, or substitute equivalent to more functional.

Uninstall Acronis, it makes no sense to take the place of the old (eight) versions of these programs, because old version of Acronis True Image banal may not understand the images created by new versions Akronisa ...

It is now easier to update files Dr.Web CureIt, Ad-Aware and AVZ.

Is a unified version, since this version will additionally file "boot_F.zip" in the folder "HBCD", having registered for a place that "boot.zip" in the file "menu.lst" you can use an assembly with flash.

Decided to transform the structure of the filling that added a mini-distro CDlinux 0.9.7.1 based on Slackware 13.37 with kernel 3.2.11.

In CDlinux I added tweaks, software, Russification MC and Firefox, COMODO Antivirus and remove the unnecessary languages.

Also added a test Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool 11 (KVRTool) instead ninth version, as A new version is twice less space (the base).

Even in this experimental version adds a new version CureIt 7.0, that would be more effective to deal with the threats.

Plus updated boot grub4dos-0.4.5b-2011-12-30 (file "grldr") with support for Cyrillic (menu.lst file encoded in cp866)

So changes have affected the DOS-side, was taken Ultimate BootCD 5.1.1 stationed at the NetWare Boot Disk 3.4, which in turn is based on FreeDOS.

Something removed (network), much updated, added, rewritten, amended, including support for CP866 and switch layout for Russian (L_Shift / R_Shift)

And most importantly, you can customize the build, add / remove programs in the DOS-like parts, and in Win-shell!

I had written a new shell for programs under Win-part. All proposals waiting in the guest on this site.

Neil Armstrong, First Man on Moon, Dies at 82

Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the surface of the moon, has died. He gave the world a quote on that occasion on July 20, 1969, that will live in history:  "That is one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind." Armstrong's family released a statement through NASA. Here is a small portion:

Neil Armstrong was also a reluctant American hero who always believed he was just doing his job. He served his Nation proudly, as a navy fighter pilot, test pilot, and astronaut. He also found success back home in his native Ohio in business and academia, and became a community leader in Cincinnati.  

He remained an advocate of aviation and exploration throughout his life and never lost his boyhood wonder of these pursuits.  

As much as Neil cherished his privacy, he always appreciated the expressions of good will from people around the world and from all walks of life.  

While we mourn the loss of a very good man, we also celebrate his remarkable life and hope that it serves as an example to young people around the world to work hard to make their dreams come true, to be willing to explore and push the limits, and to selflessly serve a cause greater than themselves.

The cause of death was complications after a cardiovascular procedure. Armstrong was 82.
