Its quite annoying to see how annoying some facebookers can be, Recently I was bombarded with spam messages (Intended and not auto posted) asking me to repost it on 15 other friends wall or inbox them so that my Facebook account is not deleted. 
I am sure many of you have already received such sick posts, Lets uncover the truth behind that message.
The spam post that people are posting on their friend’s wall and inboxes reads the following:
The Spam Post.
Hi everyone this is a message from the creator of facebook and it tells you a little bit about whatis going to happen to facebook on the 15th of March. Please don’t send this back to the person you recieved it from. Dear facebook members, Facebook is suppose to be closing down March15, it is recently becoming very overpopulated. There have been many members complainingthat facebook is becoming very slow. Records show thatthere are many active facebookmembers and, and on the other side, many new members. We will be sending this messagearound to see if members are active or not. If you are active please send to 15other users usingcopy + paste to show that you are still active. *who do not sendthis message within 2 weeks willbe deleted without hesitation to make more space. Send this message to all of your friends toshow that you are still active and you will not be deleted.
The above message is portrayed to be from Mark Zuckerberg (-_-) and asks you to post the message on your friend’s wall to check if you are an active facebooker, They say the reason for such a check being that Facebook is getting overpopulated and they are removing inactive members. LOL
Things That Prove This Is a Spam.
The above quoted message looks like a scrap written by a kid and doesn’t even come close to an Official Message from the Facebook HQ and moreover, How are they supposed to know if you have posted it to 15 people ?
Also the second line reads that Facebook is going to shut down on 15th March, If its going to shut down anyways why are we bothered to show them we are active member by sharing these spams? These are signs that tell these kind of messages are spams.
The Truth about 15th March 2012 and Facebook.
The rumor has been spreading since the 2011 that Facebook is going to shut down on 15th March and many blogs also reposting the same without proper knowledge about the same. Facebook has officially said that they are not closing down and infact they are working on improving Facebook.
On hearing this rumor, The Facebook team tweeted the following on their Twitter Account which proves that the 15th march 2012 facebook shutdown is a rumor and spam.
We didn’t get the memo about shutting down, so we’ll keep working away. We aren’t going anywhere; we’re just getting started.
