It’s about time someone mixed ‘N Sync’s “Girlfriend” music video with Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend”. They’re practically the same video anyway. But don’t go telling Bieber that. While the Canadian crooner has sometimes welcomed Timberlake comparisons, he recently got pissy when a DJ asked him his thoughts on the subject. Must’ve been a teen angst PMS day ;)
YouTube user Raheem D edited a seamless mash-up video of the boy band’s 2002 hit single with Bieber’s “Boyfriend”. Even though the songs don’t sound similar, visually they have a lot in common. Both feature classic cars, pretty teen groupies, dance moves and leather jackets. Thematically, they also signal transitional phases in their respective careers. Both tried to ditch their teeny bop image for more of a mature adult one. Check why Raheem D created this awesome mix below:

“Now before anyone starts Bieber nor Timberlake sound alike. I didn’t create this mashup to defame either of them. I genuinely wanted to mix these two songs because I knew they would go together so well. I’ve waited ages to remix this and I really wanted to make if three months ago but hey. I hope you enjoy it!”
Justin Bieber vs ‘N Sync Boyfriend/Girlfriend Mashup
Pretty good mash-up, right? If members of ‘N Sync ever want to embark on a reunion tour like Backstreet Boys, and can’t get Justin Timberlake to sign on, they might want to consider calling the Biebs ;) He’s not as cute, but his vocals could pass for the future Mr. Jessica Biel. Agree? Sound off below.
